History: This plant was a substitution for an Arrow Alaskan Cedar, which we were not interested in after seeing pictures of it online (too tall, too droopy, just ugly). I like that it’s a flowering tree and it looks good in the corner of the flowerbed.

2014 — It bloomed right at Easter and I see more buds on it now (early July). Pruned a couple branches back so I could get behind it to mulch. That’s about it.
2017 — Pruned a little back again since some of the branches seemed to be blocking the light for the daylillies.
